Ambrose O'Brien
Ambrose owned the Creamery Kings. They competed in the
UOVHL and later the
NHA. In trying to win the
Stanley Cup, he created the NHA, which later reorganized into the modern day
NHL.
After the
1911 season, Ambrose closed the Renfrew franchise. Later, he sold the franchise to Toronto interests and it became the
Toronto Blueshirts.
